NOTICE OF WEAVERVILLE TOWN COUNCIL WORKSHOP REMOTE ELECTRONIC MEETING ON MAY 12, 2020
The State of North Carolina, Buncombe County and the Town of Weaverville have all declared States of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 public health crisis. Emergency restrictions intended to slow the spread of the coronavirus and COVID19 include, among other things: requiring individuals to remain in their homes, except for certain essential activities, closing many businesses to the public, and prohibiting any gatherings which do not comply with its terms. Because of the risks to the public that would arise from in-person meetings, and in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. § 166A-19.24, the Town has converted its May 12, 2020 public meeting to a remote electronic format.
This NOTICE OF REMOTE ELECTRONIC MEETING is to inform the public that the Weaverville Town Council will hold its regularly scheduled workshop meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. as an electronic video meeting via Zoom Meeting. Access to the meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. and the meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. The instructions to access this public meeting are:

The Town Manager will present her proposed Fiscal Year 2020/2021 Budget at this workshop meeting. Discussion during the meeting will be limited to that topic. Public comments will not heard. Action by Town Council may be taken.
