Salary Range is $42,290.01 to $61,320.52

The Town of Weaverville Public Works Department is now accepting applications for full-time employment with the Town of Weaverville – Lawrence T. Sprinkle Water Treatment Facility. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License. Applicant must be certified or ability to obtain while employed within available certification schedule at a minimum grade C-Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator from North Carolina Water Treatment Facility Operator Certification Board, and Physical Chemical 1 from North Carolina Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission. Hire rate will be commensurate with combination of certifications, education, and experience. Candidate must be willing to work as required, when required, to maintain water services. Hire will be extensively trained and must demonstrate ability to perform independent operation without direct supervision.   Actual hire rate is dependent upon combination of education, experience, and valid certifications. Qualifications will be considered when determining entry wage offering.
