Annual Events in the Town of Weaverville, NC

The Town works to sponsor and host events year-round. The events hosted by the Town include our Summer Music Series “Music in the Park”, Music on the Knoll, July 4th, and Holiday Parade. Event venues include our Main Street Nature Park, Community Center, and Main Street in Downtown.

We also sponsor and support annual events organized by the Weaverville Business Association, including Art in Autumn, Music on Main, Salute to Summer and the Candlelight Stroll.

Summer Music Series

June – September we host a Second Saturday Music in the Park series in the Main Street Nature Park. Music starts at 6pm. The calendar is posted in early Spring. Regional musicians take the stage for two hours. Guests are invited to bring a picnic, chairs, friends, family, and blankets.

July 4th in Downtown Weaverville

Join us on Main Street on July 4th, 2026, for a full day of celebration in Downtown Weaverville—culminating in an unforgettable evening of live music and fireworks!

Festivities will build throughout the day with family-friendly activities, including opportunities just for kids, plus a special performances leading up to the evening show. Stay tuned for the full schedule of events and details coming soon.

At 7:00pm, SNAP the Band takes the stage, bringing their high-energy, crowd-pleasing mix of hits that will have everyone dancing in the streets.

Streets intersecting Main Street will be closed to allow plenty of room for lawn chairs, blankets, and dancing. The celebration will wrap up with a fireworks display beginning around 9:15pm, launched from the Weaverville Primary School ballfield.

Arrive early to explore Downtown, grab food and beverages from Main Street establishments, and enjoy additional vendors in the municipal parking lot—including a tented area for relaxation and shade.

JULY 4th

Music and Fireworks on Main Street

Town offices and Town Hall are closed all day on July 4th. Main Street closes at 12pm.

Music on the Knoll

In 2023, the Town kicked off this indoor Concert Series at the Community Center. The concerts take place in the Albert Weaver Room on the Second Saturdays October through March.

Shows begin at 6pm and run through 7:30pm. The musical acts are local and regional musicians, with rotating genres and music styles.

Annual Holiday Parade

We host our annual Holiday Parade on the first Saturday of December every year. This event is a super sweet celebration of our community and the holiday season. This Main Street romp is entering it’s 38th year.

For a long time, our Holiday Parade was managed by dedicated volunteers in partnership with Town Departments. In order to ensure safety and continuity, the Town now oversees every aspect of the parade, relying on a dedicated group of volunteers for planning and day-of support. Weaverville’s annual Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 6th, at 11am, kicking off from the SECU parking lot on N. Main Street.

Every parade entry has submitted an online application and fee, and attended a required safety meeting.
