Once a month, Danzn Guyz & Galz hosts a ballroom dance party at the Weaverville Community Center. The dance is dedicated to folks who are new to ballroom dancing, however experienced ballroom dancers attend as well. Partners are not required. Each dance starts off with a basic ballroom dance lesson from 5:30 – 6:00, followed by an opportunity to practice your dance skills with general dancing from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
We play a variety of songs including waltz, fox trot, swing, cha cha, rumba and more. We also play a couple of fun line dance songs as well. We serve fresh fruit, chips, cookies, and bottled water. Ballroom dancing is a fantastic way to stay healthy, meet new friends, and learn cool dance steps.
No age restrictions.

The Danzn Guyz & Galz event is championed by Reneé Twilley, a Weaverville resident. Reneé has been ballroom dancing since 1995 and enjoys sharing her love for dance with others. She finds dancing to be a wonderful form of self-expression and a great opportunity to strengthen her adeptness physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
