With CodeRED, the Town of Weaverville can quickly deliver emergency messages to targeted geographic areas or time-sensitive information to individuals who have registered to receive alerts. The CodeRED system relays information about emergency conditions, road detours, water line breaks or boil water alerts, weather-related directives and closure notifications, which can be sent via email, SMS, voice, mobile app push notifications, IPAWS and more depending on the severity of the situation.
