FOOD, WATER, AND SUPPLIES

  • Water has been restored to our entire water system.
  • If you are a Weaverville Water customer living in a neighborhood North of the Reems Creek, the boil water advisory is lifted. Refer to the map posted on our website and social media pages to confirm your location.
  • If you are a Weaverville Water customer living in a neighborhood South of the Reems Creek – you are still on a boil water advisory until further notice. You may see some air and discoloration in your water. Air bubbles can make water look white. We have sent water samples for testing and should have results back the middle of next week.
    • If you are unsure of your address or whether you’re a Weaverville water customer, email Jeller@weavervillenc.org
  • If you see water coming out of the ground or into the Road, please report it to 828.645.0606. Follow the prompts to be connected to the Water Division.
  • A potable water bladder is in the parking lot at the Community Center. Water and food distribution is at North Windy Ridge School 12pm – 4pm. Bring your own water containers to both locations.
  • Free meals are available until 4pm today at the First Citizens Bank (176 Weaver Blvd).
  • The Hillside Community Center (35 Hillside Street) is collecting and distributing donations daily from 8am – 6pm. Water, pantry items, can openers, pet food, kid’s books, clothing, blankets, medical, personal items, and more.
  • Pick up well water test kits at 30 Valley Street, Asheville Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm.
  • Showers are available at First Baptist Church in Weaverville every day while it’s needed from 10am – 6pm. Also available: wifi, hot lunch at 1:30pm, FEMA application support, food, and supplies.
  • Looking for showers, toilets, laundry, and handwashing stations in the area? ToiletsofAVL.com is a crowdsourced map of what’s available to the public.

TRASH AND DEBRIS COLLECTION

  • Household trash will be accepted at the North Buncombe School Pool (734 Clarks Chapel Rd.) on Friday, Oct 11th from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
  • The Transfer Station at 190 Hominy Creek Rd in Asheville is open for residential bagged trash Mon – Fri 8am – 4:30pm and Saturday 8am -1pm.

  • County briefings are once daily at 11am. Tune in at AM 570, FM 88.1, or online.
  • Duke continues to work to restore power throughout Town, now tackling some of the more complex fixes including trees on lines and broken poles.

  • The Community Center is open Mon – Fri 8:30am – 5pm for phone charging, internet, and bathrooms. There are outlets indoors and on the patio.
  • Early voting will begin at the Community Center on October 17th
