RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

 

Sealed, formal bids for the construction of the 2025-26 Paving Project for the Town of Weaverville will be received by the Town of Weaverville until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in the Public Works Facility Conference Room located at 15 Quarry Road, Weaverville, NC  28787.  All bids received after the stated time will be returned unopened. Bids will be for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment pertaining to the completion of the following work:

 

The work, along with all related construction, includes:  1) Milling to remove the existing asphalt pavement on College Crescent (800 LF), cleaning and crack sealing of the underlying concrete pavement, then repaving with BST, and asphalt surface course; 2) and milling of the asphalt pavement on 7 other town streets totaling 4600 LF, repair of subgrade, then paving with asphalt surface course.

 

Bid Documents for the project can be examined during normal office hours at the Town of Weaverville Public Works Facility, 15 Quarry Road, Weaverville, NC  28787 or at Town Hall, 30 South Main Street, Weaverville, NC 28787. Bidders may obtain copies of the bid documents at no charge by request from the Interim Public Works Director, Eric Cutshall, by calling office phone at 828-645-0606, or by email at ecutshall@weavervillepublicworks.org

 

The bidder’s attention is directed to the fact that all applicable state laws, municipal ordinances, and the rules and regulations of the authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout, and they will be deemed to be included in the contract the same as though written out in full. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate the contractor and subcontractors to comply with applicable state statutes and regulations concerning conditions of employment. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the NC Contractors Licensing Laws.

 

Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of Weaverville and each envelope shall clearly show on the outside the following information:
