During this 4-week course participants will learn skills and techniques that will enable them to develop and tell their personal story about a person/persons and/or an event that had a direct impact on the life of the storyteller. Class sessions include live and video samples from well-known storytellers who tell their entertaining and heartfelt personal stories. The class will be divided into two groups that will work on every person in the group’s story from ideation to performance. This is a performance class, so each participant will craft, develop and tell their story. They will tell their 10-minute story in the last class session. Class size will be limited to 10 participants so that they can receive personal guidance as they develop and share their story. This class is challenging, and lots of fun. It can prove to be personally inspiring as well.
This is a free class on 4 Thursdays; January 9th to January 30th from 1-3pm
