November 2025 Contests on the Ballot:

• Mayor (nonpartisan): 4-year term, $20 filing fee.
• Town Council, 3 seats (nonpartisan): 4-year term, $20 filing fee.

Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age by the time of the election. Primary residency must reside within the Town of Weaverville municipal corporate limits.

Candidate Filing Info:

Location: Buncombe County Election Services. Filing Begins: Monday, July 7, 2025, 8:00am.Deadline to Withdraw Notice of Candidacy: Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Filing Ends: Friday, July 18, 2025, noon.

Identification: Bring a valid NC driver license or valid photo ID. Payment: Cash, Check, or Money Order (made to Buncombe County Election Services).
